The Davidson Family

Buck Davidson started BDJ equestrian many years ago when he went out on his own with only $127 to his name. Several blue ribbons, broken bones, smiles and tears later, Buck created an internationally known name. Buck and Andrea met in 2009 while training for the Bromont CCI****L. In 2014 Buck and Andrea married, and in 2016 they had their first child Aubrey. Their family carries on the Davidson name and tradition of competing and training horses.

Buck Davidson Jr

The Davidson name is legendary in the eventing world. Bruce Davidson, Buck’s dad, competed on the US Olympic team in 1972, 1976, 1984, 1996, and 1988, as well as competing multiple times at the World Games and the Pan American Games. Bucks mother, Carol Davidson, competed in the Badminton CCI*****. Buck grew up working on his parent’s farm in Unionville, PA. He helped daily with the barn chores, learning horsemanship and hard work firsthand and from the best. Buck went on to Lawrenceville Prep where he played ice hockey, but still spent his weekends at home helping run the family business and competing. Upon graduation, Buck went to work at his family’s business full time and started his professional riding career. At just 22 Buck and Pajama Game made their U.S. team debut at the Pan American Games. At 26, Buck branched off from his dad to forge his own path, and with only $127 to his name Buck started BDJ Equestrian.

Bucks accomplishments exceed far beyond his own record. Over the last two decades, Buck has taught and coached numerous riders to the Olympics, four-star level, to CCI****L victories, and has brought many young riders to the top of the leaderboard. Buck has a tangible passion for training and coaching that can be felt in lessons, clinics, or from the sideline at a show. With all of his accomplishments, Buck will still say his biggest achievement is being the father of his little girl Aubrey.
